My 2 cents. :-)
RHL 6.1 came in 4 CDs. SuSE 6.3 came in 6 CDs. I have both of them
here. We cannot base our observations on third party distributors of these
(magazines, book publishers etc.) who usually remove stuff to suit who
they think is the target users. For example, I have never seen a mag/book
CD with TeX in it, whereas Jaju, you should know, it is one of the most
important software for an IITian. It is there on both RHL and SuSE CDs.
Where SuSE beats RHL is in including encryption stuff, which till
recently, RHL couldn't distribute because of US laws. But I find both
of these distributions to be extremely comprehensive.
