Hi there ,
I tried to mount my CDROM in RH6.1 , but I got a message
saying that it was not a valid block device ..... I then tried to change the
fstab and mtab settings , but to no avail .... anyway , I gave up and tried
to shut down the system , but it hung after the "Unmounting file system ....
" message and i had to restart the computer .
After this happened , i haven't been able to boot into Linux
; I tried the normal boot , Linux single and from the boot disk , but the
system hangs after the "Remounting root filesystem in read-write mode ...
[OK] " message (by the way , the root partition "passes / clears" the file
system check everytime) ...... I tried using the rescue disk , but it hangs
with the message "Kernel panic : No init found .Try passing init= operator
to kernel ".....
...... what do i do ?!
