I don't think dos fdisk can remove linux partition.
What i used to do is delete to(swap and native) partitions from linux it
self(with fdisk).
reboot the system, go to fdisk for dos and allocate freed space to dos and
then ovwerwrite lilo with fdisk /mbr from dos.
Or you can use third party partition utilities like partition magic etc.
