In XF86Setup, in the Monior settings tab, u can set
u're own hsync and vsync, just like in xf86config. If
u've seen the source, the menu option just offers some
predefined values for this, which is indicated in the
fields above. u can choose the default freqs. from the
menu or enter u're own...

I havent tweaked this much, but i have a samtron 45Bn,
and according to the manual it can do 1024x768 max.
However, i'm running 1280x1024, and 1152x864 on it
pretty kewl. E is running on it rite now and sawmill
is on the way. :)
