Dear folks I am trying to configure a linux box to work like a mini ppp server somewhat like vsnl. This is supposed to allow connectivity to 2,3 PCs for TCP/IP over ppp. The connectivity is through a null modem serial cable. I am able to login to my linux box from windows 95 hyperterminal. However, I am facing problems while trying to connect from windows for ppp. The login/password windows comes up, even verifying phase gets over, however error 650 appears, which says that the PC you are dialing into, could not respond to a network request. Check your server types settings. I have tried all possible combinations etc.. and I am rather stuck wether the problem is at the windows end or the linux end. Is there a way by which this can be checked from the same linux machine itself ?? If someone has worked on something similar or can help please correspond..
