Hi,

I recently installed the ALSA sound drivers on my system. But the ALSA
sound modules get unloaded automatically (auto-clean) if it is not
used for some time. This should not be a problem normally, but in this
case my mixer settings revert to the default (all channels muted) the
next time the module gets loaded. Which is, BTW, a little irritating!

I used this line in my /etc/conf.modules to get it to restore the
mixer settings:

post-install snd-card-sb16 alsactl restore

This works fine. But I don't want the module to get loaded and
unloaded every time - I want it to remain in memory. Is there any way
to disable the auto-clean flag?

"lsmod" shows "(autoclean)" next to all my sound modules, whereas
some of the other modules do not have this flag.
