Hi,
I have an AMD k6-3 450 (1 MB cache) and a Riva TNT2 with 32 MB RAM and it can
run any game thrown at it at full res. I can run Quake 3 at 1024x768 and 32
bit color depth smoothly without any jerks at all.
I did a lot of reseach before i upgraded my PC. I realized that i could
compromise on my processor and get a good video card. And BTW, K6-3 in not
bad by any standards. I can do all raw processing very well but only when it
comes to FPU does it get a beating. But thanks to my video card, i don't have
any problem in games.

k6-2 faired much better. So its a trade off... frankly if u are playing
games... by p-2 otherwise k6-2 is a better buy. Besides... these days the
3dnow technology is well supported... so graphics is well taken care off...
p-2 is better doesnt in anyway impy k6-2 is bad... looking at the price to
performance ratio is it a good buy.

which is plain bullshit and a waste of money. k6-2 is a better buy than that.

to go for... it kicks ass and i wont elaborate anymore. This is one time AMD
had really come up with a masterpiece. No wonder it holds 49% of the
marketshare already. It main advantage is sheer processing power. Yes P!!! is
great too... but it is way to expensive. Buy a good m/b.

their days are over. Creative Riva TNT2 (beware not M64) is a good buy because
it has a tweak for 3dfx so u can enjoy best of both worlds. Diamond Viper 770
is good too. And ofcourse.. for something offbeat but excellent... try matrox
g400 dual head.. its a heavenly experience. bla bla bla... i am sick of typing
so much... buy anything yaar... everything is good... btw... just for info...
hehe i have a s3 virge in one of my machines and frankly... its good enough.
