If my memory serves me right, most of the tools available for disk 
partitioning do not allow two extended partitions. One can probably 
create one by hand (using some disk editor), but whether any OS will 
recognize the second extended partition or logical partitions within 
it is a moot question.

BTW why would you want to have more than one extended partition ? 

Though as an academic excercise I think I'll try creating one and see 
what happens when I setup my next hard disk..
