You might want to add the following section in your XFConfig
file to make use of your font servers modules in XFree86 4.0
instead of relying on an external font server.

Section "Files"
        FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/local/"
        FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
        FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType/ttfonts"
        ....
EndSection

Hi,

There's no line as unix/: -1 in my XF86Config file. Note that I have
XFree86 4.0
I need to start X then xfs and then gnome window manager and then the
gnome
session.
But how do I configure my system so that Gnome starts by itself

TIA
rakesh
