are they RPMS? check u're XF86Config if there's a line which says :

LoadModule "glx.so"

kewl. with 32MB of RAM, u can go _much_ higher than that. i think the limit is
around 2048+x2048+ for 2D, or even more. I'm not sure.

in the Q3 dir. , there's a libMesaVoodooGL.so.3.*. remove that. this is the
libGL.so for 3dfx cards. Q3 checks for libGL.so in the following order:

libMesaVoodooGL.so.3.*
libGL.so

so once u remove that it uses libGL.so. Please see that u've installed NVIDIA's
libGL.so. and see that u dont have other copies of it lying around. NVIDIA's 
libGL.so is based on Mesa 3.0, which doesn't support some features, and is slower
compared to other implementations which are based on Mesa 3.2 or 3.3. welll,
anyway, that shud get u going.
