NVIDIA cards dont use the DRI.

3dfx cards <= V3 support 3D acceleration _only_ at 16-bit. They do support 2D
modes at 32-bit, but 3D is limited to 16-bit. the V4 and V5 introduce support for
32-bits rendering. now i'm confused. is sateesh having a TNT2 or a 3dfx voodoo? ;)

uhh... in Indian conditions, atleast here in hyd., even a fan doesn't seem to
work out. I have a Banshee which has a fan on top of it but overheats and hangs
_only_ in Linux. I can't cajole it to work unless i give it an AC. any thoughts
about that?

Nikhil.
