I was wondering the same. Kernel is having sound support. I was using
stock kernel given by CHIP. If I use esssolo1.o given with the distro, i
am able to play sound but without midi. Hence I wanted to use alsa. But
CONFIG_SOUND was confusing. Sound is enabled in the kernel. Otherwise,
esssolo1 can not produce sound. But CONFIG_SOUND is not found in
rc.config.
Now what to do?
