Hi,

If I used the Kernel modules for my Sound Card ( Creative Ensonique Audio PCI), the
mixer settings were not getting saved on shutdown as a result
every time when I start my PC I had to manually increase the volume.

Due to this I loaded Alsa drivers using alsaconf. It detected my card etc.Everything
is working fine except the mixer. Mixer settings are not getting saved on shutdown.
When I start the PC all the mixer settings are mute(at the bottom).

After changing the volume bar the output of alsactl is as follows :

rajesh:~ # alsactl store
rajesh:~ # alsactl restore
alsactl: Mixer element Input Gain Volume:0:200 write error: Invalid argument
rajesh:~ #

Why alsactl restore gives the error ?. I think that is the reason why my mixer
settings are not restored. They are stored in /etc/asound.conf.

Can anybody help me on this ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
