I second it. I believe we <should> take the time to discuss our perceptions
what makes us tick.

I think the freedom - infinite possibilities - is what is interesting to the
geeks. As you will agree,
all of us would rewrite C/Pascal/Perl with our improvements if only we
could/we had the time .... Now SF/Fantasy gives you some chance to participate
in the redesign of the Universe not just your programming language. That
Iis where I think the appeal comes from. It strikes a chord in our itch do
things better/differently.
