you can try
insmod ne at root promp or insmod ne2k-pci
it would recoginse your card
if it does then
just add
alis eth0 ne io=xxx irq=yyy
or alis eth0 ne2k pci io=xxx irq=yyy
in /etc/conf.modules file
ofcourse you have to set your IP's
