hi rahul
if want to switch to kde , u can use 'switch-desk' , there select * KDE
* to be your window-manager. as for the windows and everything appearing
too big, u can set the virtual screen size by adding to
/etc/X11/XF86Config .
        Virtual 640 480

if problem is not of virtual desktop size, but rather terminal etc.
opening too big then change the resolution. may be use xf86config and
select only the high-resolution modes for your vga/svga server.

regards
