This is, I am sure, a simple problem and I seem to be missing something
really vital here. I am unable to rlogin to my machine using
rlogin -l rohit [pink.arcania.net|IP address]
from a host which is listed in my
.rhosts file as
192.168.2.10 rohit
and the file is readable only by rohit, on Pink.
Everything seems to be alright. What am I missing? There are times when
other machines in IIT also behave the same way. Some machines always
behave
the same way. All Sun OS machines behave this way in IIT. So it is some
setting
that SuSE Linux has by default that I am supposed to override. The
security
settings in my machine are 'easy local'. I am yet to try and see if
changing
'local' to something else is gonna work... Anyone?
