This is a sort of case study please tell me the ways i can deploy....
Setup : -
1. 13 Windows NT/95/98 based systems are
connected with a CAT-5 cable and a 20 port HUB...
2. A ISDN Terminal Adaptor TA 128 with a ISDN line available
3. A Laser and Some Inkjet and Dot matrix printers
4. A SCSI 4c HP Scanner
Requirment :-
1. All the systems can use the net (ISDN connection)
2. The ISDN to be used as dial on demand and disconnect on idle
3. To provide each users with a fax client from which they can
facimiles
4. Provide each user with e-mail access ....
5. That everybody can access scanners and printers across network
Completed :-
I have used IP Masquerading and IP chains for the net access from across
our network but am not able to set up dial on demand i have tried pppd's
-persist option without any success... Recently i came to know that
there is a fax server named HylaFax with a Java based client .... i'll
check that tomorrow... if you know anythig better please do tell me...
Now the tough part managing e-mail's we have only one pop3 e-mail id can
we provide e-mail access somehow to everybody.....
we can also book a domain name and get unlimited pop3 e-mail id's but
will that help.....
