1) To install web server, install apache
2)To use CGI, you can use perl, php3 etc.
3)For databases, use postgres/mysql
You first try to install everything on your own and if you come across any
problems, then
1)Read all the documentation that comes with the package.
2)Try to search list archives
3)If nothing works, post a message to list.
There is plenty of documentation for each of above package, that is
shipped with your linux CD. Read that first before trying your hands at
it.
You do not sound foolish if you post a question but you certainly do if
you ask a question that has been answered thousand of times..
And Please PUT a relevant subject line... Like 'Help required on...'
