Spot on there,
        The very steps I did. It works pretty well, but make sure U
automount your /usr or /home directory at boot-up... Am I right here? I
didn't have to do the automount stuff as I moved directories and created
links within my existing partitions - to be more precise, I moved
/usr/lib, /usr/man etc to my root partition and provided the links in
/usr.

btw if U'r looking for space, moving /usr should in itself free up a hell
of a lot of space under your existing partition.
