Hi,
It's a shame that I've been trying to configure 'inn' for the last
two days with no success. Can some one help me? I have got inn to run and
can connect to it using rtin (had to make changes to /etc/news/nnrp.access
for that ). I also got the 'active' and 'newsgroups' file from ftp.isc.org
and can see them from rtin. When I start innd from rc.inn while not
connected to net there is some error message about not finding the servers
listed in incoming.conf . When I'm connected to net and I start innd there
is no error message but there is no modem activity and no articles come. I
know that the servers work since I query them using leafnode (a small news
server). How do I get inn to fetch news? If it is supposed to do this
automatically how does it do it? Is there some crontab setting (there is
for sending, but I didn't notice any for fetching)? The huge FAQ of inn
tells about everything but how to get news, so maybe it's something
obvious that I'm missing out.
