i hav RH 6.1 installed on my system with windows on my first hdd..and linux on 2nd but i did not want to install lilo in the mbr and opted fer 1st sector of boot partition but dunt like to boot from the floppy as it gets corrupted every now and then my query is... i know i cannot install linux on my 1 hdd cus windows wont be recognised on the 2nd hdd also with with win on my 1st hdd i cannot activate the boot partition of my 2nd hdd as fdisk doesnt allow me to so... can i install both linux and win on my 1 hdd and keep the 2nd one fer a empty dos partion ...can this way will i be able to select the boot partition on my 1 hdd or activate the windows partition or the linux partition whichever one i want to.... also pls tell me that wat can i do to correct the prob...my lilo hangs after LI.. i heard this means that my 1st stage boot loader has loaded and has also called the 2nd stage boat loader but has failed to execute this ..but how do i solve this problem... rahul ps: please help!!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on the LIH mailing list see: http://lists.linux-india.org/lists/LIH
