Use 'expunge= ' option. For POP fetchmail needs to log out to delete
mails. So putting expunge=40 will make fetchmail fetch 40 mails, logout
and reconnect automatically till all mails are fetched. You'll then never
have more than 39 repeated mails. Read
man fetchmail.conf
