This is not particular to fetchmail. Any popper handles it this 
way...ie, only after it has downloaded the whole stuff that it 
flushes your mailbox and detes the mail off the server or send it to 
the trash can and holds it for the time you specified before actually 
flushing it. After each message is popped to /var/spool/mail, all the 
fetchmail does it mark it for final removal, it does not actually 
delete it.

If you have a flaky connection and a lot of mails to download from 
the mail server, you should use the expunge option with fetchmail, to 
tell it to flush the mails after downloading n mails.

And yes, Rajesh, can you get your mua to wrap lines between 76-80 
chars?
