Fine. If you are waiting for a page to load while you flip between
virtual desktops, [let us have that you have 4 desktops], then at 24 bpp
your demand for VRAM is going to be close to

1024x768x24/8 ~ 3MB. Plus some buffering and rendering in newer cards
is better than the older ones. If you would rather load display-graphics
from HDD instead of the card, well..
