Hi,
I am facing a peculiar problem with my deskjet 610c printer from yesterday. Once my
SuSE box is started and I login the printer immediatly starts printing some junk
characters,
my printer queue is empty and nothing is sent to printing. As a result if I send
anything
for printing all junk is printed. Write now I am unable to print from linux. However
from
DOS prompt everything works fine.
I had selected deskjet 500 printer in Yast printer configuration, since 610C is not
supported.
I even tried deleting printcap file and again going throught yast printer
configuration.
This time after coming out of yast it prints any file. But if I reboot the machine and
than
login than the same thing repeats, junk characters.
What could be the problem ? please help.
