For Linux, I think it should be easy for you to write a small script
yourself, checking which is the daemon/service invoked when you connect
and noting the time down in a file and reading from that at reconnect.

Yeah, that could be easily implemented.

In Linux, you can do it yourself. It should be implementable within
a day. I am sure some people on the list can manage to develop an alpha
version within an hour...
