Hi shahzad,
welcome to Linux,
i would suggest that you first decide a project and do it on linux like
some web page development, interactive. in the course of developing that
you will fell the requirements of utlities and then you can ask about
them in mailing lists like this LIH.
then explore man, info, help pages available on your box and experiment
with various options in them.
this is the best method of getting familiar with linux, because linux is
so vast that no book is complete.
