Hi duke
I have recently changed my HDD (got a 17 GB 3 months ago). Earlier
I was having problems with installing Linux in it. But I soon got the
solution.
Just take care to install all files needed for booting(kernel,
etc... which are all in /boot ) in the first 1024 cylinders. Or it would be
wonderful if you create a 25 MB /boot partition during installation.
Take care to make this partition as your first partition.
This precaution is needed as LILO does not support HDD greater
than 1024 cylinders ( correct me if I am wrong ). I m not aware of the
recent developments in LILO but word came to me that the new LILO supports
larger HDDs.
