Hello, I have a redhat 6.1 machine that dual boots with windows NT. the installation went successfully and i have been using it in my lab 4 the last 2 months.incidentally i had to reinstall NT and i did it in the previous partition of NT itself.well now Linux does boot up fine but at acertain point during booting up I get the following error. stack <lot of hexadecimal chracters> call trace <" " " " " " > code <" " " " " " "> i tried to put in boot disk and boot up but the result is a kernel panic message.i do have a small query here.will using floppy based distributions like neptune linux,LOAF etc.. help me to overcome the problem.say for example can i boot up using neptune linux,mount /dev/hda2,run e2fsck.will that solve my problem. any help will be sincerely appreciated. regards Sachin ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup ----------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on the LIH mailing list see: http://lists.linux-india.org/lists/LIH
