Hi
         I had this problem sometime ago. Try creating partitions using 
fdisk for Linux. I tried it that way and it worked. You can later rename 
the partitions using disk druid. Make sure to make a /boot partition within 
the first 1024 cylinders of your HDD or download the latest version of LILO.
