there's some stuff in the configuration for E.yes,it is a 40x max drive.why?
to get the same effect in text mode,you can type 'eject'.this umounts and
ejects the drive automatically,after you stop using it.

absolutely right.even if you are working in a directory on the cd,it doesn't
work.you have to cd out of it.
