it seems that at&x0 will do blind dialling but even without that the dial
tone gets detected so is it that the only the answer tone is being detected
as busy and that too not always.?this now seems to be something that belongs
in lih.not here.anyway i am not giving up hope.also currently sometimes it
does connect so why does it not do so sometimes?also before for years i
never had such a problem with the very same modem.why has it started
now?always it was resetting to factory defaults using at&f0.i will try using
at&x0 and see.it worked in occasions in which the dialtone was not being
detected but will it work also to not detectect the answer tone as busy
?according to modem manual x0 is for smartmodem 300 responses.have to do
research on what that means.also how it can be implemented in my os.in linux
it's an easy option to try using kpp or other alternatives.
