Netscape (or, Windows email clients) can connect to the SMTP port and
talk directly to the listener there. So, you can say that netscape does
the job which for me, mutt+sendmail do.
Since you don't have an separate MTA for Windows, all windows mail clients
will implement RFC821 (the one that describes SMTP) at least partially.
