Hi Karan,
I agree with Nataraj's first point. However for second point should be
closly examined. Though logically you could have Two DHCP servers in two
subnets, you need to connect the subnets thru either a dedicated router or
using two NIC(each for a subnet) in a Linux box and doing a IP
forwarding/routing between the cards.
I would suggest the similar approach which you only have suggested, instead
of having mail and DHCP server on same PC; have a PC with a fixed IP address
to act as only a DHCP server and let the mail server be as it is while
diabling the DHCP services of the same.
Assigning fixed IP addresses to 120 PCs is not a job of very tall order but
avoid as for possible.
