Hello all,
I have a VSAT with 8 public IPs (164.100.242.64 to 164.100.242.71), out of
which we are able to use 5 of them
freely but since we have more than 120 machines conneted through LAN and
scatterd in different buildings which are connected through Optical fibre.
I am using a Mail server on Linux 6.2 and also a DHCP Server which is
alloting the Local IPs(192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.250 to client machines
which generally having Win9X and they are able to use Email and Internet
facilities. Now, I am observing the system is becoming very slow because
of traffic.
I want to assign one fixed local IP to another machine and I
want to configure it as another DHCP server so that traffic can be
minimised on my present machine. As far as I know two DHCP servers can not
run on the same intranet so kindly suggest me how can I do it? Can I do it
by assigning fixed address to the clinet machines?

Thanks in advance,
