Remove transparent proxy setting and watch whether ur clients are able to
browse
or not. Because ur browsing request is going through proxy. chat and
messengers
are working on a particular port(e.g 4000). so if ur linux gateway is not
cofigure for masquerading then u might face this problem.
check ipforwarding is on or off.(check file /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
contains '1' not '0').
