I downloaded them with VSNL connection in couple of hours and compile roughly
takes 20-25 minutes(IIRC, it was quit a while ago). So it shouldn't be a pain.
Besides compiling from source does not clutter /usr/lib. Deleting one diretory
in /usr/local uninstalls it completely. I think compiling from source should not
be that big issue..
