I guess the path /var/spool/squid.00 actually refers to the subdir 00
inside the /var/spool/squid dir.squid stores cache files in nubbered subdirs in
the cache dir.Make sure the dir /var/spool/squid and all its sub dirs are owned
by user and group squid.make sure the user and group for squid exist.
give a
chmod -R squid /var/spool/squid
chgrp -R squid /var/spool/squid
then
the command squid -z to initialise the cache.
I think this should work.
