Feel stupid replying to my own message :(.
Changed the value of TOMCAT_HOME to /usr/local/tomcatbin/jakarta-tomcat , set the
classpath for /usr/share/kaffe instead of /usr/lib , and it worked.
Got it working with Apache too.
