Use IP Masquarading in sendmail for using the same domain name. Changes are
made inside /etc/sendmail.cf. You also watch out for "Relaying Denied "
while using sendmail. Go through Mail Howto.
Try enabling POP3 instead of IMAP on the Linux server.
