On my system, I just changed the usernames (and nothing else - not even
the home directory - but I think that shouldn't be a problem) in
/etc/passwd, /etc/group and /etc/shadow and voila - things worked
perfectly!!! All file ownerships remained intact as only the user ID (a
number) and not the username is used anywhere...
But I guess the `usermod` command may be a better more user friendly
alternative... Just thought knowing the lower-level stuff would help in
understanding the whole process going on in the magic garden...
