Keep the back of your box clear, check if the cpu has a large heatsink, nd
that the fan works. Check that the smps fan works well, and if possible
install another fan in the cabinet (not cpu fan). Use a tablefan or cooler
(without water!) or some such thing to cool your computer, and keep the
monitor away from the box (you can cool the monitor too if you wish).
Another ceiling fan is preferable (all this assuming you don't have an
a/c). do a cat /proc/cpu If it says 'genuine Intel" there's nothing to
worry about (same for 'authentic AMD'). you can get scared if the temp
runs above 60C (this advise comes with no warranty whatsoever), and start
doing something at 70C. I have run my AMD at 75C for hours together with
no ill effects (but that does not mean you should do it with your's)
If you're paranoid buy an a/c if you haven't one, or go to
overclockers.com and find out how to watercool your cpu with a waterpump.
