Yes there is.....
U cud press alt while booting into BEOS.. This opens a screen where u cud 
alter the boot parameters. U cud select the framebuffer mode with color. It 
will work but it might be a bit slow..
I m not sure about the exact option... u need to tweak a bit to get it..

Try & u'll get it.........

I do not know much about the sound card config...as mine works with BEOS.......
