by the way thanks!!!
But still I did what you said and now its somehwere else I am stuck.
It says QT libraries not found. for both 1.40 and 2.1
My qt libraries are in two directories /usr/lib/qt-1.42/lib and
/usr/lib/qt-2.12/lib so
I gave the expilcit option
./conifgure --with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib/qt-*/lib. It still says not
found.
What could be it now?
Other options about x-includes and x-lib are working fine and it crosses
those hurdles now, though only to be stuck here.
TIA

LIH is all for free speech. But it was created
