Kapil, the problem is with VSNL! No, not their phone lines BUT their phone lines! Seems confusing? Thing is if you're trying to reach VSNL on Mon-Sat between 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, then its bad news. Try connecting after about 8.30 pm. Other than this, there's nothing wrong with your configuration. I have an eicon ISDN modem and i face similar problems whenever VSNL is ""busy"". ie NO CARRIER.
