Hello,
One of our customers have an mail account with Sathyam. They now use
Outlook Express to get and send mails. They want to use a Linux box
to get the mails. My problem is how to write a .fetchmailrc for them.
They log into satyam dialing 666975 and using username 'friend' and
password "password".
Their Outlook Express Configuration is thus.
In 'Outlook Express' -> Tools -> Accounts -> Properties -> General
Name of the Server (refered) : imap.xxx.com
In 'Outlook Express' -> Tools -> Accounts -> Properties ->Servers
Incomming (POP3) : imap.xxx.com
Outgoing(SMTP) : mail.xxx.com
Account Name : [EMAIL PROTECTED]
In 'Outlook Express' -> Tools -> Accounts -> Properties ->advanced
Incomming Mail(POP3) : 110
nslookup xxx.com is resolving OK. But neither imap.xxx.com nor
mail.xxx.com is
resolving.
If we say poll xxx.com fetchmail complaints it couldn't find an IMAP or
POP3 server by name xxx.com. poll imap.xxx.com or poll mail.xxx.com gives
the error 'server not found' or something like that. If poll 202.144.1.1
fetchmail says Authentification failed. No user as [EMAIL PROTECTED]
or [EMAIL PROTECTED]@202.144.1.1.
So what should be the right .fetchmailrc in this case. Can some one
help.
Thank you,
Sanjay Varma
