sorry i am late in answering, but my
mail account was stuck somewhere and i got
all my mail only two days back. now it
seems that it is stuck again. (eth.net)

I have not tried samba thru dialup
the dialup script (if from my site) does configure
auto ppp and pap authentication, means
you don't need the post dialup screen, but
can enter the user name and password,
in the pre dialup dialog itself,
and windows will get a tcp/ip connection
or you can use the hyper terminal to
get a terminal session.

if you get any leads to the samba part pls
inform me too
