I just shifted to Mandrake 7.1 from SuSE 6.3. It's good. They are about even on
ease of use. If you are ordering the cheapbytes version, remember to order the
extension cd too. Well worth it.
Highlights:
1. Helixcode Gnome 1.2 (or so they tell me: I use plain vanilla WindowMaker
since both KDE and GNOME are too bloated for me)
2. GRUB instead of LILO so no 1024 cylinder hassles.
3. Postfix instead of Sendmail.
4. Kernel 2.2.15
5. *Lots* of goodies on the cds - all optimised for i586.
6. GTK+ version of FreeCiv :)
7. Menu synchronisation utility for all shipped Window Managers.
8. TTF support out of the box.
9. Anacron instead of regular CRON.
10. No WvDial. :-(
11. Easy install
Quite a bit more.
