  Thanks for the idea i'll go and check. You mean to say call waiting is
enabled by default!! But what does call waiting exactly do. Say, i am on
my phone and some body calls, he is kept in a que or something with a
message that the phone is busy etc.

hi Shridhar 
 didnt get you. When i am using wvdial it has already blocked the com port
for itself. So others cant read it. So how do i know if some is calling
i.e intercept the "RING" message by the modem
